A fatal accident was reported about 7:46 p.m. Saturday near the 6700 block of Georgia in Kansas City, Kansas, according to police.
According to a Kansas City, Kansas, police spokesman, a tan pickup and a blue vehicle were involved in the accident.
A female passenger was getting out of the tan pickup truck when a blue vehicle traveling northbound on 67th Street collided with the pickup, the spokesman stated.
The female, who was standing outside the pickup, was struck and suffered serious injuries, police stated.
She was taken to a hospital where she died from her injuries, the spokesman said. The other occupants of both vehicles were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The identity of the victim will be released after the family is notified, according to police.
The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Traffic Support Unit – Critical Collision Response Team is investigating.
