A fatal accident was reported about 6:06 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, in the 500 block of Washington Boulevard in Kansas City, Kansas.
A police spokesman stated that police responded to the accident and found a silver sport utility vehicle that had collided with a gold sedan.
An initial investigation showed that the SUV was occupied by two males in their 40s, who were traveling southbound on Fifth Street at a high rate of speed when they struck the gold sedan, police said.
The sedan was traveling westbound on Washington Boulevard and was occupied by a male in his 20s, police said. The driver of the sedan was ejected from the vehicle and was found deceased at the scene, police stated.
The two persons in the silver SUV were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The identity of the victim is being withheld until there is positive identification and family notification.
The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Traffic Support Unit-Critical Collision Response Team is investigating.
