Kansas City, Kansas, police are investigating a fatal accident at 5:09 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18, at I-635 and Leavenworth Road.
According to police, a black SUV collided into a pillar of the I-635 overpass.
According to an initial investigation, the SUV was traveling eastbound when it left the roadway and struck the pillar, a police spokesman stated. The female driver was deceased when the officers arrived.
The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Traffic Support Unit – Criticial Collision Response Team is investigating the accident.
