A fatal accident was reported at 65th and the Turner Diagonal about 7:13 p.m. Sunday in Kansas City, Kan., according to authorities.
A motorcycle and a sport utility vehicle were involved in the accident, police said.
A man in his mid-30s who was on the motorcycle died in the accident, according to police.
The preliminary investigation showed that the victim was on his motorcycle traveling southbound on 65th Street, and collided with an SUV turning to go northbound on 65th Street from the Turner Diagonal, the police spokesman said.
The identity of the victim will not be released pending positive identification and family notification.
The accident remains under investigation by the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s Traffic Support Unit-Critical Collision Response Team (CCRT).
