A fatal accident at 1:20 a.m. Friday, June 13, in the 5900 block of Swartz Road is under investigation, police said.
A vehicle was traveling northbound on 59th from Swartz Road when a person was ejected from the vehicle, according to the police preliminary investigation.
The cause of the accident was not determined, police said.
The identity of the victim is being withheld until positive identification and family notification is made.
The Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s Traffic Support Unit-Critical Collision Response Team is continuing to investigate the accident, police said.
