The Cathedral of St. Peter is the site of a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at the parish center, 409 N. 15th St. The event is a benefit for the Sisters, Servants of Mary, and the Mary Health of the Sick Guild. There will be a breakfast, bake sale, homemade apple strudel, and churros. The donation is $6 for adults and $4 for children.

On Friday, Oct. 30, Friends of Yates Inc. will hold its 15th annual Awards and Faith Luncheon Ceremony in observance of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 30 at the Friends of Yates Center at 1418 Garfield Ave, Kansas City, Kan. A wide variety of crafts will be available on Saturday, Nov. 7, at the annual Crafts Fair at Father Quinlan Hall, Holy Angels Parish, 154th and Leavenworth Road, Basehor, Kan. The event is open to the public and will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Twenty-five booths will feature items ranging from dried flower arrangements to woodworking and wreaths to jewelry and Christmas crafts. Refreshments will be available. This event is sponsored by the Catholic Women’s Organization of the parish and is planned to coincide with the annual Crafts Fair at Basehor High School. A weekly Scripture Group with Bible Sharing and Reflection, Lectio and Journaling, is offered from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesdays at Keeler Women’s Center, 2220 Central Ave., Kansas City, Kan. The Wyandotte County mayors, in cooperation with the Wyandotte County Mayors’ Prayer Breakfast Committee, are holding the 41st annual Mayors’ Prayer Breakfast at 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6. The guest speaker will be Kansas City, Mo., Mayor Sly James. Seating begins at 7:45 a.m. The breakfast buffet and program will be held at the Reardon Convention Center at 500 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kan. Tickets are $22 per person. Risen Lamb International Church of the Nazarene, located in the Turner area of Kansas City, Kan., has announced the opening of the Risen Lamb Prayer Room and Retreat Center. On location at their church at 5301 Metropolitan Avenue, the prayer room and retreat center is open to the public for daytime retreats. All individuals or small groups seeking a quiet, sacred space to gather, pray, meditate, journal or read resources about prayer are welcome. The prayer room provides a peaceful space for solitude or can be scheduled in advance for groups of up to eight people. Guests seeking spiritual guidance may schedule a time of spiritual direction with one of the pastoral staff, and groups may inquire about scheduling a member of the pastoral team to lead or speak at a retreat. St. Mary-St. Anthony Catholic Church,
7th and Barnett, will hold an Octoberfest from 6 to 10:30 p.m. Oct. 24. There will be dinner and dancing. The Willie Kurst Band will perform. Tickets are $20 for adults.

It will be social media Sunday, Oct. 25, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1300 N. 18th St., Kansas City Kan. Members will be encouraged to bring their laptops or iPhones. The service in English will be at 10 a.m. and in Spanish at 7 p.m.
