The Knights of Columbus at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2203 Parallel, Kansas City, Kansas, are planning an Octoberfest Breakfast fundraiser after the 8 a.m. Mass on Sunday, Oct. 6. The breakfast will continue until noon. On the menu will be scrambled eggs with chorizo, refried beans, tortilla, fried potatoes, fruit cocktail, punch and coffee. The donation is $6 for adults and $4 for age 10 and younger.

Members of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1300 N. 18th St., Kansas City, Kansas, will celebrate a blessing of the animals as they recognize St. Francis of Assisi at 10 a.m. Oct. 6. St. Francis was the patron saint of animals.

A Ladies Night Wine Tasting and Craft Fair is planned from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at the Cathedral of St. Peter, 422 N. 14th St., Kansas City, Kansas.

Stony Point Christian Church, 149 S. 78th St., Kansas City, Kansas, will participate in Operation Christmas Child, in which individuals may fill up shoe boxes with Christmas gifts for children.

Wyandotte United Methodist Church, 7901 Oakland Ave., Kansas City, Kansas, will meet for worship services on Oct. 6 at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., with Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. and the youth group at 1:30 p.m. A Community Blood Center blood drive will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the Fellowship Hall, Wyandotte United Methodist Church.
