A farewell celebration for the Rev. Mark Mertes, pastor, and the Rev. John Reynolds, priest in residence, will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 30, at Blessed Sacrament Family Center gym and cafeteria, 2203 Parallel, Kansas City, Kansas.

A benefit for the Police Athletic League will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. June 29 at Holy Family Hall, 513 Ohio Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. Tickets are $15 and include a wine tasting, sausage sandwich and live music by the Brian McCarty Band.

A pancake breakfast and reception will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday, June 23, in the St. Patrick Catholic Church Parish Center, 94th and State Avenue. Parishioners will say thanks to the Rev. John Riley and the Rev. Agustin Martinez for their ministry.
