Christ the King Catholic Church, 3024 N. 53rd St., Kansas City, Kan., plans a parish mission at 7 p.m. Feb. 13 to 15. The Rev. Dave Pivonka will present the mission, whose theme is “Spiritual Freedom.”

A program, “Experiencing God’s Mercy,” will be presented from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, at the Keeler Women’s Center, 2220 Central Ave., Kansas City, Kan. The program is an introduction to and reflection on Pope Francis’ recent book, “The Name of God is Mercy.” The program will be facilitated by Jesuit novices, Jorge Roque and Marco Machado. A Gospel Non-Violence Study Group will meet from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at the Keeler Women’s Center, 2220 Central Ave., Kansas City, Kan. The Greater Kansas City Mayors’ Prayer Breakfast will take place at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, in the Grand Ballroom of the downtown Kansas City, Mo., Convention Center. The breakfast speaker will be Kansas City, Mo., Police Chief Darryl Forte. This year the breakfast will benefit the nonprofit Gilda’s Club of Kansas City, a place where people with cancer and their families may get social and emotional help free through personalized support. 1300 N. 18th St., Kansas City, Kan., will observe the seventh Sunday after Epiphany at 10 a.m. Feb. 19; the service in Spanish will be at 5 p.m. Members from St. Paul’s will attend a meeting of the Northeast Convocation of the Episcopal Diocese of Kansas from 9:30 a.m. until noon Saturday, Feb. 18, at St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church, 12251 Antioch Road, Overland Park.
