The Altar Society of The Cathedral of St. Peter will hold its annual Nativity Display from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, in the parish center at 409 N. 15th St., Kansas City, Kan. There is free admission. There also will be a holiday bake sale and refreshments.

Christ the King School will celebrate the feast of Christ the King on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 53rd and Leavenworth Road. The eighth grade class will hold a taco – bingo fundraiser after the 4 p.m. Mass Nov. 19. Proceeds will go toward graduation, confirmation, retreat and field trips for the class.

The community is invited to the 7th Annual Mary Nutter Chili Cook-off and Cinnamon Roll Contest from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at First Christian Church, 148 N. Judson Baptist Church, 8300 State Ave., Kansas City, Kan., will hold Sunday morning services at 11 a.m. on the first Sunday of the month, and at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on the other Sundays, and Sunday school is at 9:45 a.m. Judson is planning its annual Thanksgiving dinner at 6 p.m. Nov. 19. A special Advent retreat for women, “Finding Hope in Uncertainty,” will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, at the Keeler Women’s Center, 2220 Central Ave., Kansas City, Kan. A light supper will be served at 5:30 p.m. Kathy Keary, Keeler Women’s Center volunteer and spiritual director, will facilitate the retreat.
