Judson Baptist Church, 8300 State Ave., Kansas City, Kan., will hold Sunday morning services at 11 a.m. on the first Sunday of the month, and at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on the other Sundays, and Sunday school is at 9:45 a.m. Judson is planning its annual Thanksgiving dinner at 6 p.m. Nov. 19. Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church, 9301 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, Kan., will provide education and awareness about human trafficking in a program from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 9. AwarenessKC will present the program. The program will discuss the link between social media and human trafficking. Also to be discussed is social media use by children. Open Door Baptist Church, 3033 N. 103rd Terrace, Kansas City, Kan., is participating in the Operation Christmas Child project. Church members are filling shoeboxes with Christmas gifts for needy girls and boys. The shoeboxes are being collected at the church before noon Nov. 6 and 12.

The women of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1300 N. 18th St., Kansas City, Kan., will be making craft items from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday afternoons through Dec. 8 at a member’s home. The women will not meet Wednesday, Nov. 23, just before Thanksgiving day. Items will be sold during the Westheight Holiday Homes Tour from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Dec. 11 at the church.
