The Yellow Brick Foundation has planned the Dotte’s Closet Mobile clothing sale at ReachKCK, at the Blessed Sacrament School, 2215 Parallel, Kansas City, Kan., for four days for women to come shop for good quality, name brand clothing. Most items are specifically for women to wear for job interviews, to church and to work, including pants, blouses, jackets, suits, and dresses in sizes 0 to 22. There are also some accessories such as scarves, purses and jewelry too. The clothing is priced to sell. The Yellow Brick Foundation works to better the lives of all women to help build their confidence through education and mentoring. Dotte’s Closet is a ministry of The Yellow Brick Foundation which offers women nice clothing at affordable price. Dotte’s Closet will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, through Thursday, July 21, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 22. Christ the King Catholic Church, 53rd and Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, Kan., is planning its annual ice cream social on Saturday, Aug. 27, after the 4 p.m. Mass.
Mouse races will be held at 7 p.m. July 22 at Holy Name School cafeteria, 1007 Southwest Blvd., Kansas City, Kan. Those attending will receive one beverage with their $7.50 ticket, and food will be available. The event is a fundraiser for the Knights of Columbus and seminarians. Tickets are available at the door.

Risen Lamb International Church of the Nazarene, located in the Turner area of Kansas City, Kan., has announced the opening of the Risen Lamb Prayer Room and Retreat Center. On location at their church at 5301 Metropolitan Avenue, the prayer room and retreat center is open to the public for daytime retreats. All individuals or small groups seeking a quiet, sacred space to gather, pray, meditate, journal or read resources about prayer are welcome. The prayer room provides a peaceful space for solitude or can be scheduled in advance for groups of up to eight people. Guests seeking spiritual guidance may schedule a time of spiritual direction with one of the pastoral staff, and groups may inquire about scheduling a member of the pastoral team to lead or speak at a retreat.
