The Fairfax Festival is still on for this afternoon at Kaw Point Park in Kansas City, Kan.
It is planned for 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the park, which is at the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri rivers in the Fairfax levee area at 1400 Fairfax Ave., Kansas City, Kan.
The festival is still on despite a forecast which says there is a possibility of rain after 5 p.m.
It will feature live jazz music, a beer and wine garden, a lawn game tournament and a cookout.
Those attending should bring a lawn chair, and if they haven’t registered, cash or check for admission fee. The charge for food will be $15 per person. Admission to the beer-wine garden will cost $10. For admission to the beer-wine garden, bring a photo ID. Must be over 21 to attend.
