The Alcott Arts Center, 180 S. 18th, is holding open auditions from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, for “Dracula: The Final Countdown.”
It’s a spoof of the usual Dracula story. Those who are ages 12 and older may perform in the play, scheduled Oct. 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 and 29.
There will be cold readings from the script Saturday, or those auditioning may bring a prepared monologue. Singing and dancing are included in the production.
Those attending should bring a photo and resume, plus a list of conflicting dates they may have with rehearsals. Callbacks will be Aug. 20. There are 20 positions, plus extras in the play. The director is Glendora Davis.
