Another day of heightened fire weather conditions is expected this afternoon, because of winds, humidity and dry conditions, according to the National Weather Service.
Sustained north winds are expected in the region in the 15 to 20 mph range, with gusts of 25 to 35 mph, the weather service said. Afternoon relative humidity values will be in the 30 to 35 percent range, and dry fuels such as leaves and grass provide a third fire risk.
Today, skies will be mostly cloudy through mid-morning, then gradually clearing, with a high of 49, the weather service said. A north wind of 9 to 17 mph will gust as high as 29 mph.
Tonight, it will be mostly clear with a low of 23 and a north wind of 6 to 11 mph, becoming light after midnight, according to the weather service. Winds may gust as high as 18 mph.
Wednesday, it will be sunny with a high near 43 and a calm wind becoming south southwest around 6 mph in the afternoon, the weather service said.
Wednesday night, it will be partly cloudy with a low of 34 and a south southwest wind of 6 mph, according to the weather service.
Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, the forecast is sunny with a high near 57, the weather service said. A southwest wind around 6 mph will become west northwest in the morning.
Thursday night, it will be mostly clear with a low of 44, according to the weather service.
Friday, it will be mostly sunny with a high of 68, the weather service said.
