A fire in the early morning hours of May 23 in the 500 block of Blake Street in Edwardsville is under investigation, according to authorities.
Edwardsville police and fire departments are looking into the cause of the fire at the split-level single-family home, a spokesman stated.
Firefighters responded to the fire and found one man inside the home. He was taken to a hospital for evaluation, the spokesman stated. The man is now in stable condition.
There was significant damage to the home, the spokesman stated.
