A 5.0 magnitude earthquake was reported about 7:44 p.m. in Oklahoma, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake location was west of Cushing, Okla. It was about 17 miles from Stillwater, Okla.
The earthquake was felt as a weak tremor by some people in the Kansas City area, according to the USGS, and also felt as a weak shaking as far south as Texas.
According to the USGS, another 4.5 magnitude earthquake was reported Nov. 2 southeast of Pawnee, Okla.
