A driver involved in a traffic accident overnight near 57th and State Avenue is suspected of driving under the influence, according to a police spokesman.
The suspected DUI driver allegedly ran a stop light and struck a victim’s vehicle, the spokesman stated. The victim’s vehicle was obeying the traffic laws, according to the spokesman.
Serious injuries were reported in the accident, the spokesman stated.
