The driver of a Ford Escape was injured in a crash at 7:52 p.m. March 15 on I-435 near the Parallel Parkway exit, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
The Escape was northbound on I-435, when the driver almost missed his exit to westbound Parallel Parkway, the trooper’s report stated.
The driver slammed on the brakes, and tried to take the westbound exit. The brakes locked and the Escape went off the roadway to the right, the trooper’s report stated.
The Escape flipped one time before coming to rest on its side, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver, a 70-year-old man from Kansas City, Kansas, was injured and taken to a hospital, according to the trooper’s report.
