The driver of a vehicle in a wreck at 75th Place and State Avenue on Thursday, Nov. 10, died on Sunday, a police spokesman confirmed.
On Nov. 10, two women were in a wreck after they were suspected of trying to pass a bad check at the Bank of America at 78th and State Avenue, police said after the wreck. When police arrived at the bank, the women fled in a Nissan east on State Avenue, and then their vehicle ran a red light and crashed into Dodge Avenger near 75th Place and State, the spokesman said.
Police said at the time they were not in pursuit of the vehicle when the crash occurred. By the time police got out on State Avenue, the wreck had already occurred, the spokesman said.
A passenger in the Nissan also had been reported in serious condition on Thursday. The driver of the Avenger was in stable condition then.
