
The driver in a fatal train – concrete mixer truck accident at 9:59 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at 7241 Kaw Drive in Kansas City, Kansas, was a resident of KCK, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
The driver who died in the accident was identified as Gustavo Hernandez, 43, of Kansas City, Kansas, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s crash log.
Hernandez was driving a Kenworth concrete mixer truck westbound on K-32 when he turned south onto a private drive, according to the trooper’s report.
The concrete mixer truck struck the front of a westbound Union Pacific train, the trooper’s report stated.
It was raining on Saturday morning.
