A Lawrence, Kan., driver hit the construction barrier on I-70 near K-7 in Wyandotte County at 8:10 a.m. Monday, April 18, according to a Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper’s report.
The 34-year-old driver was eastbound on I-70 in a Mazda CX-9 when she lost control of the vehicle and struck the construction barrier, the report stated. It was raining Monday morning. The driver was not injured.
According to the trooper’s report, a 33-year-old Lawrence, Kan., woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was injured and taken to the hospital.
