A driver fell asleep and crashed on I-435 in Edwardsville on Saturday morning, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol report.
A Chrysler was northbound on I-435 about 6:17 a.m. when the driver fell asleep, according to the trooper’s report. The car drifted to the left, hit the left guardrail, overturned, then slid to the right and hit the right guardrail, overturned again and came to a rest, the trooper’s report stated.
The driver, a 59-year-old man from Kansas City, Kan., was injured and taken to a hospital, the report stated.
