A double shooting was reported at 10:48 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, in the area of 79th and Rowland, according to police.
A suspect or suspects shot two victims after a verbal altercation, a spokesman for the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department stated.
A social media post by the police chief stated that one of the victims returned fire. It is believed that there were two suspects.
The suspects fled the scene before police arrived, according to the police spokesman.
The victims currently are in stable condition, the spokesman stated.
