A homicide in the 1700 block of Stewart Avenue is under investigation by detectives with the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department, according to a KCK police spokesman.
Officers were sent to the area about 2:41 a.m. on a report of a shooting, the spokesman stated. The location is north of Parallel Parkway.
When the officers arrived, they found an adult male with a gunshot wound inside the residence, according to the police spokesman.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he later died of his injuries, the spokesman stated.
The incident is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department Major Case Unit, according to the spokesman.
