Wyandotte County will have dangerous wind chills Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Wind chill values in the teens are in today’s and Wednesday’s forecasts, the weather service said.
Areas north of I-70 will see temperatures below freezing throughout the day, dropping back into the teens and lower 20s overnight tonight, according to the weather service.
Temperatures will be cold this week, with snow possible on Sunday.
The temperature was 24 at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Wyandotte County, with a wind chill of 16.
Today, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 33 and a north northwest wind of 6 to 10 mph, gusting as high as 18 mph, the weather service said.
Tonight, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 26, according to the weather service. A calm wind will become south southwest 5 to 9 mph after midnight.
Wednesday, it will be sunny, with a high near 44 and a southwest wind of 6 to 9 mph becoming east northeast in the morning, the weather service said.
Wednesday night, there will be increasing clouds, with a low around 33, and an east southeast wind of 6 to 11 mph, becoming south after midnight, according to the weather service. Winds may gust as high as 20 mph.
Thursday, it will be partly sunny, with a high near 50, the weather service said. A south southwest wind of 7 to 14 mph will gust as high as 28 mph.
Thursday night, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 34, according to the weather service.
Friday, it will be partly sunny, with a high near 51, the weather service said.
Friday night, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 32, according to the weather service.
Saturday, it will be partly sunny, with a high near 40, the weather service said.
Saturday night, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 21, according to the weather service.
