A crash that tied up traffic at 4:35 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, on I-635 near Kansas Avenue resulted in an injury to a driver.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, a 2006 Chevy truck and a 2016 Chevy car were northbound on I-635 when the truck made a lane change, cutting off the car.
The car swerved to avoid contact and went into the right lane, the trooper’s report stated. The truck then hit the car, and after that collision, the truck hit the barrier wall, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the truck, a 22-year-old man from Kansas City, Kan., was injured and taken to a hospital, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the car, a 29-year-old woman from Overland Park, Kan., was not injured the trooper’s report stated.
