A crash was reported at 11:40 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, on 18th Street Expressway near Steele Road, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
A Mitsubishi Mirage was southbound on 18th Street Expressway and stopped in the passing lane, according to the trooper’s report.
A Chevrolet Silverado 1500 could not stop in time, and rear-ended the Mirage. Then the Mirage started to spin out and hit a Chevrolet G1500 van, the report stated.
The driver of the Mirage, an 86-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man, had a possible injury and was taken to the hospital, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Silverado, a 43-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man, was not injured, the report stated.
The driver of the Chevrolet van, a 67-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man, was not injured, according to the trooper’s report.
