A crash was reported on I-70 westbound near 57th Street in Kansas City, Kan., at 11:49 a.m. Monday, Nov. 28, according to a Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper’s report.
The trooper’s report stated a Lincoln MKX attempted to pass a Chevrolet Impala on the inside shoulder because of the lane ending.
The Lincoln struck the Chevrolet, causing the Lincoln’s driver to lose control, according to the report.
The Lincoln then struck a Dodge Caravan, and afterward struck the concrete barrier wall, the report stated.
The driver of the Lincoln, a 76-year-old man from Gaylord, Kan., was injured and taken to a hospital, the trooper’s report stated.
The driver of the Chevrolet, a 63-year-old man from Soldier, Kan., was not injured, according to the report. The driver of the Dodge Caravan, a 67-year-old man from Omaha, Neb., also was not injured, according to the report.
