Blood donations are being accepted currently at the University of Kansas Health System.
The University of Kansas Health System main campus, 3901 Rainbow Blvd., Kansas City, Kansas, will hold a drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, May 8, in the Health Education Building.
Those interested in donating are asked to make an appointment with the Community Blood Center of Greater Kansas City at savealifenow.org.
Currently, convalescent plasma donations are taking place through the Community Blood Center of Greater Kansas City, and are being collected for a bank of convalescent plasma to treat patients with serious or life-threatening COVID-19 infections.
Donors who are interested in donating plasma, and who have recovered from COVID-19, may make an appointment through the Community Blood Center of Greater Kansas City, at https://savealifenow.org/donate-blood/covid-19-and-blood-donation/convalescent-plasma-cp/.
