Community meeting on Indian Springs to be Nov. 28
A community meeting on a proposal for the Indian Springs site will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Painted Hills Golf Club, 7010 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, Kansas. The meeting is being held by Scavuzzo’s, a food service company that is expanding into a national market. Developers will present a plan and proposal for the site at the meeting. Downtown KCK Holiday Lighting Festival to be Nov. 30
The annual Mayor’s Holiday Lighting Festival in downtown Kansas City, Kansas, will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30. The festival, including a tree lighting ceremony, is held each year in front of City Hall at 701 N. 7th St., Kansas City, Kansas. On the evening’s schedule are visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, school and community groups performing musical and dance selections and classic holiday movies. Some of these events will be inside the first-floor lobby of City Hall, starting at 4 p.m. There will be refreshments available. The festival is free and open to the public. Several sponsors are providing funding and services for the event. Volunteers are needed.

Exhibit reception for portrait collection
