Dining with Diabetes program to begin March 7
Dining with Diabetes, a program that will help people learn about and manage Type 2 diabetes, will be held from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Wednesdays, March 7, 14, 21 and 28, at the Keeler Women’s Center, 2220 Central Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. The program includes information about planning meals and snacks with healthy recipes, cooking demonstrations and food sampling, motivation and support, ideas for being more active and an understanding of how diabetes affects one’s health. A Community Shredding and Recycling Event is planned from Thursday, March 8, through Wednesday, March 14, at the Bonner Springs City Library, 201 N. Nettleton Ave., Bonner Springs, Kansas.
