UG Committees scheduled to meet Monday
Unified Government committees are scheduled to meet at 5 p.m. Monday, June 26. The UG Public Works-Safety Committee will meet at 5 p.m., followed by the Administration-Human Services Committee. Agenda are posted at www.wycokck.org.
Rosedale ‘town plan’ meeting scheduled Monday evening
The Rosedale University Town Plan meeting will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 26, at 1401 Southwest Blvd., Kansas City, Kansas. The Rosedale Development Association and the Unified Government Planning Department are holding the meeting to discuss the University Town Plan. This plan is part of the Rosedale master plan that was recently adopted. The master plan recommends a university town district near the University of Kansas Hospital and Medical Center. The town plan’s goal is to work on this plan and plan actions to implement it. Transit access, walking and bike trails, and a community center are among the items that are mentioned, and housing will be discussed.

Program to be presented on raising safe kids

New Civitan Club to meet Thursday, June 29
The Lancaster-Melton Peace Keepers Civitan Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 29, at The Dotte Spot, 8123 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, Kansas. The meeting is open to the public. The new service club is being established in the memory of Brad Lancaster and Dave Melton, police officers who were slain in the line of duty in 2016. Nine free concerts to be offered this summer at Legends Outlets
The Legends Outlets will continue its free outdoor concert series, Legends Live, on Saturday evenings this summer. Some of the performers will be local bands. The concert series will include nine performances from 5 to 7 p.m. June 10 through Aug. 5 at the Civic Courtyard Fountain at The Legends Outlets, according to a spokesman. A range of styles, including popular music, classic rock, rock alternative, rhythm and blues, country hits and selections from the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and today will be featured. The concert series will end Aug. 5 with a family friendly performance tied to Legends Outlets’ Back-to-School event featuring children’s music, giveaways and activities. The Legends concerts are held near the fountain, near the Legends 14 Theatre, at 1843 Village West Parkway, Kansas City, Kansas. The Legends Live concert schedule includes:
