C.A.R.E. program offered
A Child-Adult Relationship Enrichment (C.A.R.E.) program will be offered from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on two Mondays, May 1 and May 15, at Keeler Women’s Center, 2220 Central Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. The program is presented by Michelle Bertuglia Haley, child and family therapy team at Children’s Mercy. Certificates of attendance will be given out at the end of two sessions. Support group planned for caregivers
A support group for caregivers, both men and women, is planned from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, at the Keeler Women’s Center, 2220 Central Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. The facilitator is Jackie Tigges. Reservations are required to 913-906-8990.

Support group to meet May 2
The Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Group will meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, at the Keeler Women’s Center, 2220 Central Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. This is a facilitated support group for family who have recently, or some time ago, experienced miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss. It is facilitated by Jennifer Allen Caudle. Women writers to meet Thursday
A Women Writers group will meet from 1 to 2:15 p.m. Thursday, May 4, at the Keeler Women’s Center, 2220 Central Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. Polski Day to be May 6
Polski Day will be held on Saturday, May 6, at All Saints Catholic Church, 809 Vermont Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. Polski Day kicks off with a parade at 11 a.m. May 6 at 14th and Central, ending at All Saints parish, where the event will be from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Music, food and games are planned. A 4 p.m. polka Mass then follows at All Saints parish.

CVB to hold annual tourism celebration May 9
The Kansas City, Kansas, Convention and Visitors Bureau will hold its annual tourism celebration on Tuesday, May 9, at the Reardon Convention Center, 500 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. Registration will be at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch and the program at noon. Individual tickets are $45 per person. Bike safety program planned May 20
A bike safety program, Hawks, Helmets and Handlebars, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 20, at the New Bethel Church, 745 Walker Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. At the free event, there will be a bike safety course, a Baby Jay appearance, and a remote live broadcast by 99.6 The Point. The first 150 children to attend will receive a free KU bike helmet. The children must be present to receive the helmet.

Wyandotte County Museum

Grinter Place Museum
The Grinter Place State Historic Site, 1420 S. 78th St., Kansas City, Kan., is one of the oldest homes in the area, built in 1857. Admission is $3 for adults, $1 for students; and children 5 and younger free. It is closed on state holidays. Grinter Place is closed until May.
