Kansas Gov. Jeff Colyer has been named the grand marshal for the Kansas Lottery 300 on Oct. 20, according to Kansas Speedway officials.
Jamie Young, representing the Kansas Lottery’s No. 1 retail outlet, Lonestar in Salina, Kan., has been named the honorary starter for the race.
In addition to Gov. Colyer and Young taking part in pre-race activities, Toyota and the University of Kansas Health System, along with Kansas Speedway, will recognize five breast cancer survivors as part of the ceremonies.
Darrell Stuckey, who is a retired NFL Pro Bowler and Kansas City, Kansas, native will provide the invocation, and The Band Sayler will sing the National Anthem, while the Overland Park Police Honor Guard will present the colors.
