A Dodge Caliber was southbound on K-7 about 1:57 p.m. on June 6 when it attempted to make a U-turn from the shoulder to southbound K-7 and struck a Mazda 3 car parked on the right shoulder, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
The crash location was on K-7 at Canaan Drive, near I-70.
The driver of the Caliber, a 60-year-old Lenexa, Kan., woman, was injured and taken to a hospital, according to the trooper’s report.
An 18-year-old Independence, Mo., woman in the Caliber had a possible injury, the report stated.
The driver of the Mazda 3, a 68-year-old Leavenworth, Kan., woman, was not injured, according to the report. A passenger in the Mazda 3, a 10-year-old boy from Leavenworth, Kan., also was not injured, the report stated.
