Some locations may drop below 28 degrees on Friday night or Saturday night, the weather service added. There is a 20 percent chance of snow showers Friday night.
Wind chill values on these mornings will drop another few degrees, with some areas experiencing wind chills in the upper teens to lower 20s, according to the weather service.
The difference between Thursday’s daytime high and Friday’s daytime high will be a drop of about 26 degrees.
Today’s forecast for Wyandotte County is a high near 69 with sunny skies and a west northwest wind of 5 to 11 mph, the weather service said.
Tonight, it will be clear with a low of 49, according to the weather service. A light and variable wind will become south southeast 5 to 7 mph after midnight.
Thursday, it will be sunny with a high near 71, the weather service said. A south southeast wind of 7 to 11 mph will become northwest in the afternoon.
Thursday night, skies will be mostly cloudy with a low of 38, according to the weather service. A north northwest wind will be 11 to 14 mph, gusting as high as 29 mph.
Friday, look for a 26-degree drop in the temperatures, with a high near 45, the weather service said. A northwest wind will be 10 to 14 mph, gusting as high as 25 mph.
Friday night, there is a 20 percent chance of rain and snow showers after 1 a.m., according to the weather service. It will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 32.
Saturday, it will be partly sunny with a high of about 44, the weather service said.
Saturday night, the low will be around 30 with partly cloudy skies, according to the weather service.
Sunday, it will be sunny with a high near 52, the weather service said.
Sunday night, it will be partly cloudy with a low of 37, according to the weather service.
Monday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 57, the weather service said.
