Cold moves in today

Cold weather has arrived today, and it will continue through the rest of the week, according to the National Weather Service.

The temperature was 38 degrees at 8 a.m. today, with a wind chill of 32, according to the weather service. Look for dry conditions to continue until Saturday night, when a brush of light rain or some non-accumulating snow is possible, the weather service said. No hazardous weather is anticipated.

Today’s high should reach 43, the weather service said, with mostly cloudy skies. A west wind will be 8 to 16 mph, gusting as high as 24 mph today.

Tonight, expect a low of 29, and a west wind of 7 to 9 mph, according to the weather service.

Thursday will be sunny with a high near 45, the weather service said. There will be a west wind of 5 to 8 mph.

Thursday night’s low will be around 28 with a light west wind, according to the weather service.

Friday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 46, the weather service said, and a light and variable wind.

Friday night’s forecast is partly cloudy with a low of 28, according to the weather service.

Saturday, expect partly sunny skies with a high near 45, the weather service said.

Saturday night, there is a 40 percent chance of rain before 11 p.m., then a chance of rain and snow between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m., followed by a chance of snow after 3 a.m., the weather service said. The low will be around 33.

Sunday’s forecast is mostly sunny with a high near 49, according to the weather service.
