Chain-reaction accident reported on I-35

A four-vehicle traffic accident on I-35 on Thursday, April 16, caused some persons to be injured, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.

The accident was about 4:20 p.m. April 16 on I-35 southbound in Kansas City, Kan.

All of the drivers were from Johnson County, according to the report.

Three vehicles were stopped in traffic when a fourth struck one of them, causing a chain reaction accident, the report stated.

The driver of a Chevy Tahoe, a 54-year-old man from Leawood, Kan., struck another vehicle to start the chain reaction crash, and he had a possible injury, according to the report.

The driver of a Toyota Camry, a 44-year-old Olathe man, was injured and taken to the hospital, the report stated.

The driver of a Toyota Venza, a 35-year-old woman from Lenexa, Kan., had a possible injury, according to the report.

The driver of a GMC Sonoma, a 35-year-old Olathe man, also had a possible injury, the report stated.
