The Central Avenue Betterment Association is celebrating the Central Avenue Day of the Dead on Saturday, Nov. 6.
The event will include a parade and focuses on remembering family members and friends who have died.
It will take place on Central Avenue from 10th to 18th Street. Some activities are in Bethany Park at 11th and Central.
On the list of planned activities are high school marching bands from noon to 2 p.m.; Art in the Park from noon to 9 p.m. at Bethany Park; offrendas from noon to 9 p.m.; face painting from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; DJ music from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.; beer gardens from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.; walking Catrinas from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.; live music from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.; food and vending from noon to 6 p.m.; the parade from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; with all activities ending by 9 p.m.
There are 10 stages along the route.
Masks are strongly recommended at the event.
