Temperatures in 50s today

Seasonal temperatures return today with highs in the mid-50s, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Thanksgiving Day, on Thursday, will carry a slight chance of light rain with a high near 50 in some areas, although it does not show up at this time on the Wyandotte County forecast.

A weak cold front is moving toward the area today, having little effect on the weather than to lighten winds and limit mixing, according to the weather service.

Today, it will be sunny with a high near 54 and a southwest wind of 3 to 8 mph, the weather service said.

Tonight, it will be clear, with a low of 30 and a light and variable wind, according to the weather service.

Tuesday, it will be sunny, with a high near 56 and a light south southwest wind becoming southwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning, the weather service said.

Tuesday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 32, according to the weather service, and a south southwest wind of 7 mph, according to the weather service.

Wednesday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 57, the weather service said. A south wind of 6 to 11 mph will gust as high as 20 mph.

Wednesday night, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 39, according to the weather service.

Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 50, the weather service said.

Thursday night, it will be partly cloudy, with a low around 31, according to the weather service.

Friday, it will be sunny, with a high near 48, the weather service said.

Friday night, it will be clear, with a low of 32, according to the weather service.

Saturday, it will be sunny, with a high near 56, the weather service said.

Saturday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low around 34, according to the weather service.

Sunday, it will be sunny, with a high near 54, the weather service said.

Wyandotte County Historical Society meets Sunday afternoon

The Wyandotte County Historical Society will meet for its annual meeting at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, at the Wyandotte County Museum, inside Wyandotte County Park, 631 N. 126th, Bonner Springs.

Randy Greeves, Unified Government historic preservationist, will be the guest speaker. His topic is the Downtown Historic Commercial District Nomination and the Historic Church Survey project. His presentation will include photographs.

Also, awards will be presented.
