Dangerous wind chills this morning

Dangerous wind chills are in the forecast for this morning, according to the National Weather Service.

The wind chill was minus 1 at 9 a.m. Friday, and the temperature was 9, the weather service said. Today’s high could reach 28. There also will be a southerly wind of 7 to 9 mph.

A warming trend through the weekend will see temperatures rise to 42 on Saturday, according to the weather service.

Cold air will return early next week, with a high near 25 on Tuesday, the weather service said. No precipitation is in the forecast for the next seven days.

Today, it will be sunny, with a high near 28, the weather service said, and wind chill values between minus 6 and 4, with a south wind of 7 to 9 mph.

Tonight, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 19, and a south southeast wind of 6 to 9 mph becoming west southwest after midnight, according to the weather service.

Saturday, it will be mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 42, the weather service said. A west southwest wind of 5 to 8 mph will become northwest in the morning.

Saturday night, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 28, according to the weather service. A light southwest wind will become west southwest 5 to 10 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph.

Sunday, it will be sunny, with a high near 44, the weather service said. A north northwest wind of 5 to 9 mph will become light and variable in the afternoon. Winds may gust as high as 20 mph.

Sunday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 29, according to the weather service.

Monday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 54, the weather service said.

Cold temperatures and wind chills are expected today through Friday, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Wind chills are expected to range from minus 5 to minus 15 on Thursday morning and Friday morning throughout the region.

Wyandotte County’s wind chill could be between minus 7 and 3 on Thursday, the weather service stated. Today’s high will be near 18.

Tonight’s low could be around 5, according to the weather service forecast.

Northwest winds of 5 to 9 mph are expected throughout the day, the weather service said.

Sunday, it could warm up to 47, according to the weather service.

Today, it will be sunny, with a high near 18, the weather service said. Wind chill values will be between minus 7 and 3, with a north wind of 5 to 9 mph.

Tonight, it will be clear, with a low of 5 and a north northeast wind of 5 mph becoming calm in the evening, according to the weather service.

Friday, it will be sunny, with a high near 29 and wind chill values between minus 2 and 8, the weather service said. A calm wind will become south 5 to 9 mph in the morning.

Cold temperatures and wind chills will return today through Friday, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Thursday morning will be the coldest, with wind chills below zero, the weather service said. Wind chill readings Thursday morning will be between minus 8 and 2.

Gusty northerly winds of 25 to 30 are expected Tuesday night through Wednesday night, according to the weather service.

Today, it will be mostly cloudy, with temperatures falling to around 19 by 5 p.m., the weather service said. A north wind of 15 to 17 mph will gust as high as 29 mph.

Tonight, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 5, and wind chill values between minus 8 and 2, according to the weather service. A north wind of 9 to 15 mph will gust as high as 25 mph.

Thursday, it will be sunny with a high near 18, the weather service said Wind chill values will be between minus 8 and 2. A north wind of 6 to 8 mph will gust as high as 20 mph.

Thursday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 5 and a light and variable wind, according to the weather service.
