Today’s temperatures to reach 72 degrees

Fog this morning is giving way to dry conditions for the rest of the day, according to the National Weather Service.

Showers and storms will be possible overnight across east-central Kansas and western Missouri.

A cold front will move south across the region beginning Saturday, accompanied by showers and storms. Severe weather is not expected.

Today’s high will be 72 degrees, with an east wind of 7 to 10 mph.

Tonight, there will be a 20 percent of showers after 1 a.m. The low will be 64.

On Friday, skies will be partly sunny, with a high near 85. Winds will be from 9 to 14 mph from the south, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

On Saturday, expect a 30 percent chance of showers, and a high near 84.

Sunday, skies will be sunny and temperatures will reach 79.

Scattered showers possible Wednesday and Thursday

Scattered showers and storms are still in today’s forecast through 10 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Rain fell earlier this morning in Wyandotte County.

The high will be near 80 today, with a calm wind becoming east around 6 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight, isolated showers and storms are possible after 7 p.m. The low will be 63. The chance of rain is 20 percent.

Thursday also will have a 20 percent chance of rain, with a high near 77.

Friday, look for sunny skies with a high near 85. Winds will be south-southeast from 9 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.

This weekend, heavier rains are likely south of Chanute and Wichita, Kan., as the moisture will be tied to the remnants of Hurricane Odile, according to the weather service.

Saturday, there’s a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast for Wyandotte County, with a high near 79.

Sunday, skies will be sunny with a high near 79.
