Sunday, there will be a chance of drizzle and patchy fog before 9 a.m. The high will be near 60. Sunday night, rain is likely, with a low around 49.
Widespread light to moderate rainfall is predicted for late Sunday, spreading over the region. Lighter rain is likely during the day on Monday. Precipitation from this storm system should be from a half-inch to three-quarters of an inch of rain.
As cold air plunges in behind the system, there may be a window where wintry precipitation occurs. Any accumulation would be very minor, possibly around Monday night. The chance of precipitation is 30 percent and the low is expected to be 31 degrees Monday night.
The temperature drops on Tuesday to a high of 38.
Cooler weather will prevail through the remainder of the week with a brief warmup Thursday ahead of the next southern stream storm system. It looks like there is little or no chance of accumulating snowfall through the end of next week.
