Rain continues in Tuesday’s forecast

Rain will continue in the forecast for Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Storms are not expected to be severe. Between a quarter and half-inch of rain is expected during the day on Tuesday, the weather service said.

Below normal temperatures are expected for the next several days, according to the weather service. Today’s high will be near 74, and Wednesday’s high will be near 81.

Additional rain chances will be possible Friday and Sunday, the weather service said. Highs will be in the 80s on those days, according to the weather service.

Today, showers and thunderstorms are likely, mainly before 11 a.m., and there is a 70 percent chance of precipitation, with a high near 74, the weather service said. An east wind of 9 to 11 mph will gust as high as 21 mph. Between a quarter and half-inch of rain is possible.

Tonight, there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2 a.m., then a slight chance of showers, according to the weather service. The low will be around 62 with an east northeast wind of 6 to 10 mph. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is in the forecast.

Wednesday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 81 and an east northeast wind of 5 to 9 mph, the weather service said.
