Sunny, mild weather ahead today

Sunny skies and mild weather are in today’s forecast from the National Weather Service.

Low temperatures in the mid to upper 30s across the northern part of the region may result in some patchy frost, the weather service said. More patchy frost is possible tonight into Thursday morning in areas to the north.

Temperatures in Wyandotte County did not reach that low, and were in the low 50s this morning, according to weather service records. Temperatures did not drop below 50 last night.

Dry conditions continue, and the forecast for the next week does not contain any rain.

Today, it will be sunny, with a high near 71 and an east wind of 8 to 10 mph, the weather service said.

Tonight, it will be clear, with a low of 47 and an east wind of 7 mph, according to the weather service.

Thursday, it will be sunny, with a high near 73 and a southeast wind of 6 to 10 mph, gusting to 18 mph, the weather service said.

Thursday night, it will be clear, with a low of 49 and a southeast wind of 7 mph, according to the weather service.

Friday, it will be sunny, with a high near 75 and a southeast wind of 5 to 9 mph, the weather service said.

Fall temperatures and dry conditions continue this week, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Today’s high of 80 will be the highest temperature here this week, the weather service said.

The high will drop to near 69 on Wednesday before climbing back into the 70s for the rest of the week, according to the forecast.

Wyandotte County could see a low of 48 tonight, but in the northern part of the area, frost is possible with cooler air moving in Tuesday through Wednesday, the weather service said. Those who have sensitive vegetation should be ready for the possibility of frost Wednesday morning.

Today will see comfortable and fall-like weather, along with winds gusting up to 21 mph, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Dry conditions will continue through the upcoming work week, with most daytime highs in the 70s, the weather service said. The exception will be Tuesday, when the high could reach 80.

Next weekend will see dry weather with temperatures in the high 70s, according to the weather service.

For the next several weeks, the region will have above normal temperatures and below average precipitation, the weather service said. That does not mean there won’t be any rain in the future weeks, but it means there will not be a lot of drought relief.

Today, it will be sunny, with a high near 75 and a north northwest wind of 5 to 11 mph, gusting as high as 21 mph, the weather service said.

Tonight, it will be clear, with a low of 50 and a north northwest wind of 6 mph becoming calm in the evening, according to the weather service.
