Today’s high near 80, cold front moves in tonight

Today will see unseasonably warm weather, as the high will be near 80, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

A cold front is moving in, and tonight should see a low of 46, the weather service said. A frost and freeze is possible in some areas Saturday morning, with the low reaching 37 in Wyandotte County, according to the weather service.

Residents are advised to protect sensitive vegetation on Friday night.

Dry conditions continue through the weekend, the weather service said, with Wyandotte County continuing in a severe drought.

However, there is a 30 percent chance of rain in the forecast for Tuesday night and Wednesday, according to the weather service. Highs will be in the 70s from Sunday through Wednesday.

Today, it will be sunny, with a high near 80 and a north northwest wind of 5 to 10 mph, gusting as high as 18 mph, the weather service said.

Tonight, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 46 and a north northeast wind of 8 to 10 mph, gusting as high as 20 mph, according to the weather service.

Friday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 57 and a north northeast wind of 8 to 10 mph, the weather service said.


Friday night, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 37, and a north wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening, according to the weather service.

Saturday, it will be sunny, with a high near 64 and a calm wind becoming west around 6 mph in the afternoon, the weather service said.

Calm and dry weather continues on Wednesday, with a high near 81, but a cold front will move into the area Thursday evening, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Temperatures will drop to a high near 60 on Friday, the weather service said.

Friday night, look for a low around 40. The weekend will see a high near 65 on Saturday, according to the weather service.

Skies are cloudy today and while there has been the possibility of rain, most of the area missed out on rainfall overnight as a weak cold front moved through the area, the weather service said.

Drought continues in the Wyandotte County area, with Wyandotte County and the Kansas City area listed under “severe drought,” according to the weather service. The dry conditions could lead to elevated fire conditions.

Today, it will be mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 81, the weather service said. There will be a west northwest wind of 6 to 9 mph.

Tonight, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 55 and a northwest wind of 3 to 6 mph, according to the weather service.

Thursday, it will be sunny, with a high near 80 and a light west northwest wind becoming north northwest 6 to 11 mph in the morning, the weather service said. Winds may gust as high as 20 mph.

Thursday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 47 and a north northeast wind of 7 to 11 mph, gusting as high as 18 mph, according to the weather service.

Mild weather with above normal temperatures continue today, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Today’s high will be 83, and highs in the low 80s and high 70s will continue through Thursday, the weather service said.

Then, on Friday, temperatures drop, with a high near 59, according to the weather service.

Friday night’s temperature will be the low for the week, at 38. Saturday morning could see the first freeze of the season for some areas north of I-70, the weather service said.

While a weak cold front is pushing through the area on Tuesday night and Wednesday, the chance for rain is very limited in Wyandotte County.

Tonight, there will be increasing clouds, with a low of 61 and a southeast wind of 6 mph, according to the weather service.

Wednesday, it will be cloudy through mid-morning, then gradually clear, with a high near 81, the weather service said. A light and variable wind will become west northwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning.
