Snow possible tonight

Cold temperatures will move back in on Wednesday with light snow possible Wednesday night into Thursday, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Minor snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are possible, the weather service said. Snow is possible from about 6 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday.

Dangerous wind chills will develop Thursday and Friday mornings, according to the weather service.

Today, the high will be near 24 with a west northwest wind of 10 to 14 mph, gusting as high as 24 mph, the weather service said.

Tonight, there is a 50 percent chance of snow, mainly after midnight, according to the weather service. The low will be around 7. The wind chill will be between minus 5 and 5. The north wind will be 9 to 11 mph, gusting to 20 mph. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches is possible.

Thursday, it will be cloudy, then partly sunny and cold, with a high near 13, the weather service said. The wind chill will be between minus 9 and 1. A north northwest wind of 7 to 13 mph will gust as high as 21 mph.

Thursday night, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 6, according to the weather service. A north northwest wind of 5 mph will become calm in the evening.

Friday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 29, the weather service said. A light southeast wind will become south southeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust up to 20 mph.

Friday night, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 24, according to the weather service.

The strong southerly winds of the morning will change to the northwest overnight, gusting to 32 mph, the weather service said.

On Wednesday night, the wind chill will drop to minus 4 to 1 degrees, according to the weather service. Snow is likely after midnight, with 1 to 2 inches accumulation.
