Minivan overturns on I-635

A minivan overturned in an accident at 9:23 p.m. Monday, July 12, on northbound I-635 just north of Swartz Road, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.

An Audi car and a Chrysler minivan were northbound on I-635, the trooper’s crash log stated.

The minivan was traveling slower than the Audi, the report stated. The Audi attempted an avoidance maneuver and was unable to slow, the trooper’s report stated.

The Audi struck the rear of the minivan, and the minivan overturned, the report stated.

The driver of the Audi, a 21-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man, had a possible minor injury, according to the report.

The driver of the minivan, a 72-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man, had a possible minor injury and was taken to a hospital, the report stated.

Collision reported on K-7

Two vehicles yielding for an emergency vehicle on July 10 were in a collision on K-7 near Leavenworth Road in Kansas City, Kansas.

According to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, a Toyota Camry and a Dodge Stratus were northbound on K-7 near Leavenworth Road at 6:55 p.m. Saturday, July 10, when they yielded to the right for an emergency vehicle. When the Camry yielded to the right, it struck the Stratus, according to the trooper’s report.

The driver of the Camry, a 44-year-old man from Lansing, Kansas, was injured and taken to a hospital, the report stated.

The driver of the Stratus, an 18-year-old woman from Lansing, Kansas, had a possible minor injury and was taken to a hospital, the report stated.

Driver hits interstate barrier wall after tire blows

A 19-year-old Bonner Springs woman was eastbound on I-70 when the passenger side tire blew, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.

The Toyota Avalon hit the barrier wall on the right side, then crossed all lanes and struck the inside barrier wall, the trooper’s report stated.

The accident happened at 12:40 a.m. Saturday, July 10, on eastbound I-70 near 57th Street.

The driver, a 19-year-old Bonner Springs woman, had a possible minor injury and was taken to a hospital, according to the report.
