A fatal accident was reported at 11:46 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at 18th Street Expressway and Kansas Avenue, according to a Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department spokesman.

Officers found that two vehicles were involved in the accident, according to the spokesman.

Three persons were taken to a hospital, where one died from injuries, the spokesman stated.

The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Traffic Division is investigating. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.

An accident was reported at 8:36 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, northbound on K-7, north of Parallel, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.

According to the trooper’s report, a Chevrolet Tahoe was northbound on K-7 north of Parallel when it struck the left side of a Chevrolet Cruze. The Cruze then left the scene, according to the report.

A 22-year-old Leavenworth, Kansas, woman driving the Cruze had a possible minor injury and was taken to a hospital, the report stated.

The driver of the Tahoe, a 29-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man, was not injured, according to the report.

A 33-year-old male passenger from Kansas City, Kansas, in the Tahoe also was not injured, the report stated.
